Canadian citizens and permanent residents need a visa for Nigeria. There are two kinds of visas available; one for people on business and one for tourists. The minimum time required to process a tourist or business visa is three to four weeks.

Nigeria Visa Requirements
You must fulfill certain Nigeria visa requirements for a tourist or business visa. Applicants need to have a valid Canada passport with a minimum of six months remaining validity from the date of your departure from Nigeria. One passport-type photograph must also be submitted with each application (you must add your name and the date onto the back of the photo) along with a flight itinerary, hotel booking confirmation, bank reference letter and certificates for vaccinations against cholera and yellow fever. Applicants for a business visa must also provide a business letter on company letter head from their Canadian company and an invitation letter from the Nigerian company the applicant is visiting. The letter must also state your full name, place of birth, date of birth, your passport number and its issue/expiry dates.
